The Third Years took a break from studies and hiked up Clara mountain, getting the oxygen circulating the braisns ahead of their final preparations for their first state exam.
The class of 2024 bade farewell to MCS, having the honour of being the 50th class to graduate, a fitting honour for the group who have been exemplary throughout their time with us.
The Global Citizenship Education (GCE) Group have rounded off another successful year with the annual newsletter. This year saw MCS receive “Champion School of Sanctuary” status

Millstreet Community School Leaving Certificate Graduation 2024
The annual Tom Meaney Memorial Public Speaking competition took place in the school library today.
The Ecounesco Showcase and awards ceremony took place in Dublin Royal Convention Centre on Wednesday 15th, with two groups qualified. from MCS.
Amber Flag Day in MCS was marked with orange face painting for all, as well as a rolling soccer tournament to keep eveyone’s spirits up and get involved in the fun.
The Millinery group from Transition year met their counterparts from the ‘Knit and Natter’ group based in Millstreet library on Tuesday, May 14th.
Lucy O’Sullivan had another great day at track and field, winning the bronze in the South Munster 800 metres and now qualifies for the Munster competition.
Well done to Tia Kiely who made it to the final of the Student Enterprise Project in the Mullingar Park Hotel, and was commended for her excellent project.
Polaris racing is one of two F1 in Schools teams from MCS competing for the national title.
