MCS to Open Its First Special Class for ASD Students in September 2025.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our school’s first-ever Special Class for ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) students in September 2025. This significant development marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to providing inclusive education for all students.

We have worked closely with the Department of Education and the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) to make this vision a reality. Our plan includes the construction of a new state-of-the-art extension that will house three Special Classes and a range of best-in-class facilities. While this ambitious project will take another few years to complete, we are excited to further enhance our current student supports without delay.

The school will repurpose an existing classroom to accommodate the new ASD Special Class. With funding of up to €100,000 to be provided by the Department of Education, we will ensure this facility is fully equipped and ready for the 2025–26 academic year.

We look forward to welcoming and supporting students with the resources and care they need to thrive. This development reflects our school’s ongoing commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in education.

The announcement coincides with a memorable day in our school when our School Support Dog Kaci was reunited with two of her pups Pumpkin and Gomez, Kaci has been a fantastic addition to the school and will no doubt play an import role in this new development.
