Millstreet Community School Raises €841 on Non-Uniform Day for Hope Foundation Trip to Calcutta
Millstreet Community School was a sea of color and individuality last Wednesday as students and staff took part in a Non-Uniform Day to support an important cause. The event was organized to raise funds for Lily, Saoirse, Hannah, Katie, and Chris, five Transition Year students who will be traveling to Calcutta as part of the Hope Foundation’s annual programme.
The generosity of the school community was evident, with a total of €841 collected. This contribution will help fund the students' trip, where they will engage in vital humanitarian work, supporting children in Calcutta.
Speaking about the event, the students expressed their gratitude:
"We are overwhelmed by the support from our classmates, teachers, and the wider school community. Every euro raised will make a real difference in the lives of those we will be working with in Calcutta."
Millstreet Community School is proud to support such a meaningful initiative, and we wish Lily, Saoirse, Hannah, Katie, and Chris the very best as they prepare for this life-changing experience.
