Think Languages Day

Ms Power and Ms Norton organized a full day of activities centred around learning languages, and the day featured French, German and Irish as well as introducing Irish Sign Language, Japanese, Portuguese and Arabic. The day also featured some of the many languages spoken by students, including Polish and Ukrainian. Some cultural activities sampled involved capoeira, belly dancing and volleyball, making for a full fun-day of language andskills. Students learned how languages can help develop cross-cultural friendships and help to learn about other countries, as well as the many careers opened up by qualifications in languages.
